The gameplay here is not as bad as you would think. I am sure that you were expecting me to say that all of the characters handle terribly, but to be fair, the handling of the cars is probably one of the better things that this game has going for it. I know! I am as shocked as you are, but the cars are not hard to drive at all in this game.The problem with Crazy Frog Racer is the AI. This game has no middle ground. If you haul ass and get a good lead going, no one is going to be able to catch you up! On the flip side of this, if you fall behind, no matter how good you drive, you will not catch back up to first place. This game does not mess around, you make one mistake and you are basically screwed!
The Annoying Thing
You probably expect that the song the Crazy Frog is known for is going to play non-stop, but that is not actually the case here at all. Instead, we have a game that is pretty much silent for the majority of it! There is a music thing you can listen to various tracks in, but the song you are expecting to be all over this game is not here! That may actually be a positive, but I was shocked at how quiet the game was.
I have to say that Crazy Frog Racer is not a horrible game. It is just a very dull and boring one. Races have no flair to them at all and even though weapons are plenty, races never feel all that exciting or get you pumped up to win. You have your championship modes, but there is also a battle mode, time trials, and so on as well.
I have to be honest and say that I actually expected Crazy Frog Racer to be way worse than it actually is. Do not get me wrong, I do feel very sorry for anyone who saw a video game-shaped package under their Christmas tree and thought they were getting one of the 2005s gems like Resident Evil 4, God of War, Burnout Revenge, or something else amazing and opened up this. So, while it is bad, it could have been a great deal worse!

Here every object is interactive and there is no building you can’t enter. Whether you get a sudden idea of jumping into a car driving past or ride a bull grazing over the farm fence, you can do it and just take the consequences, be it a cinematic race down the city streets or a disastrous accident. You can basically go wherever you like and do whatever you like. This is the world of The Amazing Frog 2!
However, it’s not only about mindless fooling around. Sooner or later, you’ll get tired of that and long for some serious action. No worry, there are plenty of missions for you to pick up in the city streets. It’s enough to come to the right place in the right time and there will definitely be another task waiting for you. And even if you got to take cats off the trees instead of chasing gangsters this time, don’t be upset, every little thing counts to gain the repute of a superhero!
There is also multiplayer mode, but not the kind of random online selection, but a split screen session with up to four friends. And it’s much more fun than playing solo. Not just because you can do plenty of goofy things together, but also because there are tons of multiplayer opportunities all around Swindon. The city contains special zones for death matches and races plus a platformer-like map where you can organize a friendly competition. How exactly you will interact with your companions is completely up to you. Form a valiant superhero squad and fight the bad guys twice as effectively or wait for the right moment to shove your friend right into the teeth of a hungry shark!
